Some drone enthusiasts consider the Force1 U45W the best drone you can buy for the price. It’s also one of the best drones for beginners because it’s equipped with features that make flying drones easier. It even comes with extra propellers in case they become damaged during flight. However, the drone is well-made, so it’s not likely you’ll break it anytime soon after buying it. Below we have reviewed the drone based on its main features, specs, remote control, and included accessories.
Force1 U45W Drone Main Features & Specs
This drone comes with a Wi-Fi FPV camera drone kit, 2MP drone camera, and an extra battery and power bank. The FPV capable camera drone kit allows you to observe flight from a first-person perspective, just like the DBPOWER MJX X400W FPV drone. A frequently asked question from interested buyers is whether or not the drone works when you’re not around a Wi-Fi connection. The drone actually has its own Wi-Fi, so it will work anywhere you go. You don’t need to have your own Wi-Fi.
Thanks to the drone’s altitude hold and headless mode functions, you have enhanced control over the flying device. As its name suggests, altitude hold keeps the drone at a consistent altitude. This is especially helpful for beginners because it assists with stabilizing the drone. The device basically hovers in the air when on altitude mode, which gives you a moment to regain control.
Headless mode is another great feature for those who are new to flying drones, it helps with orientation. While in headless mode, turning the stick left will always make the drone go left. You don’t have to account for which way the drone is facing. If you become serious about drones, you’ll eventually have to learn how to fly them without the headless mode. But when you’re starting out, it’s acceptable to use headless mode.
With custom route mode, you can fly the drone unassisted by tracing the desired route on your mobile screen. Additional features of the drone are one button takeoff and landing, video recording capabilities, independent orientation control, LED lights for flying at night, and one button 360 degree flips. The SD card allows for 4GB of pictures and videos.

Force1 U45W Drone Remote Control & Set-up for First Flight
The 2.4 Ghz remote controller has a button for takeoff and landings, headless mode, and altitude mode. Headless mode is indicated by “IOC” on the remote. You can attach your smartphone to the controller to watch the view from your drone on your smartphone screen.
This drone’s controller is easy to use because it has markings on the buttons to help you remember which button does what. Some competing drones don’t have markings on their controllers.
To use the controller, you must insert four AA batteries in the battery compartment located in the back of the controller. The auto takeoff button is on the upper right corner of the LCD screen with the headless mode to the upper left. On the lower right corner, you can press the flip button. And to change between speed modes, you can press the lower left button.
Flying the Drone
Before flying the drone, you must set it up. Beginners should attach the propeller guards and landing gear that come with the drone. The landing gear is inserted in the bottom of the drone. It’s important for protecting the camera of the drone during landing.
The propeller guards are easy to attach to the drone too. They slide into the slots on each propeller. To insert the drone’s battery, open the battery compartment located on the side of the black propellers and connect the battery before sliding it into the slot.
On the bottom of the drone, you’ll find the on/off switch. When you turn on the drone, the LED lights will flash. They’ll stop flashing once you bind the controller, which is easily done by toggling the left stick down, up, and down. Turn on the controller by pressing the center button.
After binding the drone, you can press the takeoff button to takeoff or push both sticks to the center on the controller to rev the drone and then push the left stick up. Don’t worry if your drone travels up and down a bit at first because it sometimes needs to adjust to the air, particularly in cold weather. It will become more steady within a few seconds of warming up.
To perform flips in midair, tap the flip button, then toggle the stick in the direction you want the drone to flip. When you’re ready to land the drone, you can select the auto landing button.
